Why not start off your stay in Abruzzo, with the unique experience of a personalized tour of the area?
We are very fortunate that one of our team, Manolo, is a qualified tour guide. He was born locally and has a deep knowledge of the area. He speaks excellent English and has lived abroad, so has an international understanding. We recommend that you take the tour at the beginning of your stay in Abruzzo, to give you an introductory insight into the beauty and magic of the area. Manolo can show you sights that would be difficult to find on your own, and he can also recommend additional places for you to visit during the rest of your stay.
You can choose from a wide range of places to visit, and activities to participate in. Each tour is totally personal for you. Plus, whilst touring, you can chat about your property requirements, the buying process in Italy, and many other topics related to buying here. Manolo also carries out property viewings, so you can discuss your favourite properties with him.
You can choose from the following activities and places to visit:
In addition, you can make your own requests, either to visit a certain place, or take part in a type of activity.
You can choose the day of your tour, any day of the week, subject to availability. Manolo will contact you before your arrival and he’ll arrange the day according to what you tell him. On the day, he will collect you from your accommodation and be your chauffeur for the whole day. So, all you have to do is relax and enjoy Abruzzo!
Here is what some clients told us, after having enjoyed their tour:
We had the most wonderful and memorable day with Manolo touring the beautiful Abruzzo region, experiencing delicious food and meeting incredible people. Manolo picked up our group of 4 at our villa right on time. From the moment we met him we knew we would have a great day. He is so friendly and warm and his English is great. We had asked for a food tour with cheese making and chocolate but left it up to Manolo to customize the rest. We were not to be disappointed. He is from the region and knows so much about local culture that we got to experience a truly insightful tour. We began the day viewing and learning about the some of the stunning cliffs of Abruzzo and a small shrine with a rich, local history that we would never have known about otherwise. We then travelled to Atri for a look at the town and its Roman Cathedral. We enjoyed coffee in the square then headed to Bisenti for market day and a chocolate tasting like no other. Centini Concezio chocolate shop is tucked away in this beautiful village where it is rumoured that Pontius Pilate was born, and is owned by a master chocolate maker who combines ingredients you would not believe to create luxury chocolate. The absolute highlight of the tour was the opportunity to make cheese followed by a lunch in the mountains at a sheep farm. We expected to enjoy this experience, but had no idea that we would be treated to the most delicious food. Tip - go very hungry. Our amazing host provided course after course of food. I lost count after 8 dishes! The food was so fresh and authentic. The cheese was served in so many ways and our host was such an accomplished chef. We will never forget the time we spent there surrounded by amazing scenery and true hospitality. We finished the day at a winery where the locals go. The perfect end to a perfect day. This tour was incredible value. We had a very full day. The personalized service and expert knowledge provided by Manolo was second to none. He knew exactly when to step back and when to engage so it felt like such an easy day. He is also an olive farmer and makes his own oil so we benefitted from his expertise in this regard as well. When we travel we always try to find a local producers tour because we gain the best insight to an area this way. Our tour with Manolo was the best one of these experiences we have ever had. I would highly recommend taking a tour at the beginning of your stay as Manolo will give you recommendations for the rest of your stay which allows you to get the most from your time in Abruzzo. We cannot wait to go back to one of the most beautiful parts of Italy and meet with Manolo again. Thank you so much for creating such special memories for us all.

If you are coming to Italy in search of a property to buy, our knowledge of the local housing market can save you time and energy. If you tell us your requirements before your visit, we will suggest possible properties for you to view. We can email you photos and details and even visit properties, to check for suitability, saving you precious holiday time once you arrive.
When you are here, we will accompany you on viewing trips. We can also advise and help you with accommodation, hiring a car and visiting the local attractions.
We will help you with opening an Italian bank account and obtaining your Italian tax code (codice fiscale), which you will need before you can start the buying procedure. We use a local bank, also used personally by all members of the Abruzzo Reality team. We know all the staff very well and they all enjoy welcoming our clients to the area. We do not charge you for these services.
All the non-Italian members of Abruzzo Reality have been through the buying process themselves, as foreigners in Abruzzo, and have subsequently helped many others do the same. So we are well aware of the concerns felt when taking such a large step.
Once you have bought your house, you may feel a little bewildered at first, until you get used to the new culture, unfamiliar systems and meet your new neighbours and the local people (who will, by the way, welcome you with open arms and endless supplies of locally grown produce). We won't abandon you at this important stage. We will be there to help you integrate and get used to your new home and its surroundings. We may even be one of your new neighbours but, if not, we will always be close by for you.
We will help you with all aspects of daily life here in Italy, which may seem complicated and strange at first. Such as, payments of local taxes and utility bills required at the local post office, often accompanied by lengthy and unfamiliar forms. Even simple procedures, like arranging for your telephone line to be connected, can take some time, and can be difficult to arrange, especially if you are not here in Abruzzo. We can advise on all aspects of living here, even down to where to buy local wine and other produce.
For those of you who won't be living full-time in Abruzzo, we provide comprehensive property management services, with responsive communication by phone or email, a simple hourly charging structure, and regular written statements, we can be your vital link to your Italian property.
